We are 52 years of age and have been married for 30 years, and have been dancing for 20 of those. Our love for dancing started at our very first class, where we studied for our medals and over the years learnt from different instructors and different styles of dances, we continue to take lessons, there is always something to learn.
We have helped to raise money by performing dance demonstration at a charity function, and run a weekly dance class. We are working towards our dance qualifications.
In 2008 we joined Dance Afloat, teaching on Fred Olsen cruise liners, traveling the world, the Caribbean and Baltic to name a few. This we have thoroughly enjoyed, and get a real buzz when passengers say that learning to dance has added to their holiday experience.
Now that we have retired we are able to split our time between cruising (where we teach), our house in the South of France (near the Spanish border) and the UK.
When teaching our aim is to have fun, give people confidence and pass on our love for dancing.
The dances we cover include Ballroom and Latin, sequence dances, Merengue, Salsa and our favourites, the Argentinean Tango and Jive.
